The effects of our changing climate will affect the quality of life on earth, particularly in our major cities. There are two strategies to face this challenge: Prevention and adaptation. Urban regions represent a vital prerequisite for sustainable economic development and at the same time need to be prepared to cope with climate change. Shanghai and Berlin are among the metropolises that – out of necessity and capability – lead the way to a more sustainable future.

Program Idea

The Sustainable Companies & Cities Forum focuses on climate change-related business opportunities / business cases in Shanghai and Berlin, and on how cities need to foster sustainable innovation and remove potential barriers. The forum brings together entrepreneurs from both cities with city officials, policymakers, as well as legal and financial experts for presentations and discussions.
