As part of the Asia-Pacific Week (APW) Berlin, Berlin-Brandenburg Energy Network e.V. in collaboration with Berlin Partner for Business and Technology and EIT Climate-KIC organized an Energy and Climate Session on the 24th of April in the European School of Management and Technology. The topic of the event was „Connecting Asia and Europe – Visions for a Digitalized Energy & Climate Sector”.
The Session was opened by Wolfgang Korek, Energy Technologies head of unit at Berlin Partner for Business and Technology.
Speakers from Asia and Europe discussed chances and risks of Blockchain in the energy sector, security in times of digitalization as well as the vision of a global super grid.
A panel discussion gave the chance to talk about opportunities, international transferability and limits of digitalization in the energy sector.
Since 1997 the Asia-Pacific Week Berlin has promoted the international exchange of business, science, and culture between the Asia-Pacific region and Berlin. This years’ Asia-Pacific Week took place from the 23rd to the 29th of April and focused on „DIGITALIZATION“- the global megatrend of the 21st century. Start-ups, industry and SMEs discussed the most important trends of the 4th Industrial Revolution to create collaborative partnerships and projects.
